Information signs that identify spaces in a building: toilets, priority service, accessibility and room identification. This is the signage nobody notices when it is done well and everybody hunts for when it is missing.

Toilets

The full series: male, female, unisex, staff, accessible WC and baby change. It pays to decide the whole set at once, toilets identified with pictograms in different styles, bought at different times, is the most common mistake and the most visible one to a visitor.

Priority service and accessibility

Priority service signs for counters and waiting areas, plus identification of accessible routes and facilities. In public-facing spaces this signage is read by the people who depend on it most: legible and high-contrast beats discreet.

Choosing the material

PVC for everyday use. Acrylic in receptions, hotels, clinics and offices, where the finish is part of the space and the sign lasts years without yellowing. Self-adhesive vinyl for glass doors. Water-resistant material for wet areas.

Mounting height

On a door, the sign is read close up: mount it on the handle side at eye level. Projecting or suspended signs are for corridors, where people approach from the side rather than head-on.
